Reado (“we,” “us,” or “our”) is a children's educational reading app designed for children ages 4–8. We take the privacy of children and families seriously. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect information when you use our website and services at readoapp.com.

We comply with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA). We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 13 without verifiable parental consent. Our service is designed so that parents create accounts and manage their child's experience.

From Parents

• Payment information (processed securely through Stripe; we do not store credit card numbers)
• Onboarding responses (your child's age, reading level, and interests to personalize the experience)

From Children

• First name only (to personalize the reading experience)
• Reading progress and activity data (to track learning and adapt difficulty)

We do not collect photos, precise geolocation, voice recordings, or other sensitive information from children.

Automatically Collected Information

• Device type and browser information
• Usage analytics (pages visited, features used) via Mixpanel
• Advertising attribution data (Meta Pixel for measuring ad effectiveness)

How We Use Information

• To provide and personalize the reading experience for your child
• To process payments and manage subscriptions

Children's Data Protection

We do not sell personal information to third parties. We do not share children's data with advertisers.

Data Retention

We retain personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide our services. Onboarding data and usage analytics are retained for up to 12 months. You may request deletion of your data at any time by contacting us. Upon account deletion, we will delete or anonymize your data within 30 days.

Data Security

We use industry-standard security measures to protect your information, including encryption in transit (HTTPS/TLS), secure payment processing through Stripe, and access controls on our databases. However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure.
